Confined Spaces

A confined space can look harmless and still hold a deadly atmosphere: too little oxygen, toxic or flammable gases. Many victims are would-be rescuers. This course teaches workers to recognize a confined space and to enter only when everything is in place.
Who it’s for
Workers who enter or work beside confined spaces (tanks, vats, manholes, silos, sewers), attendants and the people who issue entry permits.

In Quebec, the ROHS (Division XXVI) governs confined space work: training, atmospheric testing, and entry and rescue procedures.
