A hoist lifts heavy loads with little effort, but a suspended load is always dangerous. This course teaches workers to inspect a hoist, respect its capacity and lift a load while staying out of its path.

What the law says

In Quebec, the ROHS governs lifting devices; CSA B167 and ASME B30.16 cover the inspection and use of hoists.
