Electrical Hazard Awareness

English and French

Electricity can’t be seen or heard, and it doesn’t forgive. Electric shock, electrocution and arc flash also injure workers who are not electricians. This course teaches workers to recognize electrical hazards and keep a safe distance.

Who it’s for

All workers who work near electrical equipment without being electricians: operators, maintenance staff, labourers and construction workers.

What your employees will be able to do

  • ✓Understand how electric current affects the human body
  • ✓Recognize hazards: direct contact, arc flash, overhead lines
  • ✓Spot damaged equipment or cords and report them
  • ✓Respect approach distances and areas reserved for electricians
  • ✓Know what to do, and not do, when someone receives a shock

What the law says

CSA Z462 governs workplace electrical safety; in Quebec, the ROHS and the Safety Code for the construction industry reserve certain work for qualified persons and set approach distances for power lines.

How it works

  • ✓The video is watched in full, with no skipping
  • ✓A quiz after each module, to check understanding
  • ✓A QR-code certificate, with proof in your training records
  • ✓On a phone, tablet or computer, in each employee's language
  • ✓In your brand: your logo and your colours

Adapted to your operations

Your equipment, your procedures, your rules: we adapt the course to your company in a few days.
