Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs)

English and French

Musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) affect the back, shoulders and wrists. They develop slowly, from repeated effort, awkward postures and repetitive motions. This course teaches workers to recognize the risk factors and adopt good habits before pain sets in.

Who it’s for

Material handling, production, warehouse and office workers, and the people who design workstations.

What your employees will be able to do

  • ✓Understand how MSDs develop
  • ✓Recognize risk factors: force, posture, repetition, vibration
  • ✓Lift and handle loads correctly
  • ✓Adjust your workstation
  • ✓Report early symptoms promptly

What the law says

In Quebec, the AOHS requires employers to identify and control hazards, including ergonomic hazards; CSA Z1004 sets out an approach to workplace ergonomics.

How it works

  • ✓The video is watched in full, with no skipping
  • ✓A quiz after each module, to check understanding
  • ✓A QR-code certificate, with proof in your training records
  • ✓On a phone, tablet or computer, in each employee's language
  • ✓In your brand: your logo and your colours
