Heat stroke can kill, and extreme cold can cause frostbite and hypothermia. This course teaches workers to recognize the warning signs, stay hydrated and protected, and adapt the work when it is too hot or too cold.
Outdoor workers and those who work near heat sources or in the cold (foundries, kitchens, cold rooms, construction sites), and their supervisors.
In Quebec, the ROHS governs exposure to heat and cold, and the CNESST publishes guidelines for adapting work to temperature and humidex.
